The old town is situated north of the Wenceslas Square, there is little to do in the day but the town is magical in the moonlight and well worth a visit. The new town was founded in 1348 and positioned around three market places, Horse Market, Hay Market and the Cattle Market. In the 19th century the New Town was demolished and redeveloped to the form it has today.
The most famous tourist attraction in Prague is the Charles Bridge dating back to 1357 the atmosphere around the bridge is vibrant with many market sellers ready to barter there prices with you. On your short breaks to Prague the Prague castle is a site that is worth a look, founded in the 9th Century today the Castle is a complex of a cathedral, a royal palace, churches, a monastery and galleries.
